a small favor to ask

This blog gets quite a few hits. At least what I would consider quite a few for a blog that isn't really advertised or promoted in any way. But it very rarely gets any comments. I am trying to figure out how many regular readers I actually have. So I have a favor to ask of anyone who reads Abundant Life even somewhat regularly.

Would you leave a comment on this post telling me what you would like to see more of on the blog in 2012? Family stuff? Real food information? Recipes? Crafty posts? More pictures? Fewer pictures? Better pictures? Walking with God? Anything at all...I would like to narrow my focus a bit and make this more about you, my readers, and less about my rambling thoughts.

Thank you so much!

  1. Hi Leah, I read and enjoy your writing regularly! As for what I'd like to see...I guess either more food stuff, or walking with God. Ecclectic, I know. My own blog is kind of like that too. Food, family,Christianity, homeschooling.... But I'm ok with that. :)

    1. Thanks so much for the input, everyone! Your sweet comments made me smile this morning. And I'm sorry I haven't responded sooner...life has taken over lately and I haven't had as much time to blog as I would have liked.

Dana, that feeling that there is more right with the world than wrong is exactly what I hope that this blog conveys...there is so much depressing news out there and while I don't want to hide my head in the sand and ignore it, I believe that we should focus on the goodness of God more than we often do. I believe that gratitude=joy, regardless of the condition of the world or of our circumstances.

      Blessings to all of you!

  2. I like your food stuff. Even if I am not there yet, you make it feel possible and not overwhelming.

  3. I have enjoyed reading your blog. Since "knowing" you from HopeChest days. It is fun to hear about your life as a grown up. I enjoy reading all the things you post about, but I think I would like to hear more about food. Our family has slowly been making changes to the way we eat. I am making more and more from scratch.

  4. I love to read about your life because I relate! I also am a Christian, homeschooling, traditional foods eating, sewing/knitting, up at night with an almost one year old, mama. You are an encouragement. Thanks!

    Maybe more school stuff?

  5. Leah, hi there. I read your blog fairly regularly. I check in about every week.. I like your blog because you ARE random :) how's that for helpful! Your funny, normal, easily relatable, your stories are cute. I like your random thought blogs. Knit/crochet stuff, food isn't super important for me but I do like seeing others in the same boat I'm in (sugar struggles, on-the-wagon-off-the-wagon sorta stuff). Why change a good thing! And rejoices for sure with your baby girl!

  6. I too read your blog regularly. I'm not a Christian. I'm divorced -- though not by my choice. I live in a city, not the country. Still, I am drawn to your writing for some inexplicable reason. I love the strength of your beliefs and the love you express for the people around you. We do share some things: home birth, alternative schooling, a commitment to whole foods (raw milk and pastured meats). I'm slowly transitioning to more Nourishing Traditions-type foods, so I do enjoy reading about that. I don't know if I'd want you to change anything, though. Your blog always leaves me with a sense that there is more right with the world than wrong.
