clean eating day four (the good, the bad and the ugly)

We successfully navigated the donut pitfall at church this morning and stayed pretty true to the course. I cooked lunch in the crock pot instead of going out for pizza or something equally unhealthy. I think this will become a tradition. i hate dealing with Sunday afternoon restaurant crowds anyway.

Breakfast: sprouted wheat toast, eggs, milk

Snack: Peanut butter carob chip balls

Lunch: Crockpot chicken stew, veggies with ranch, sprouted wheat bread ad butter, tootsie pops (a gift from a sweet lady at church...she hands out candy to all of the kids each week and I simply do not have the heart to say no. Neither do I have the heart to take it away from my kids when we get home. Yes, I am a big softie.)

Snack: Healthy peanut butter cups a la The Nourishing Gourmet.

Supper: We haven't eaten yet, but it will probably be leftovers and snacky stuff. Sunday evenings are generally informal around here. I might make the boys some popcorn.

A mostly good start to the new year!
